The difference between surviving and thriving

High school is an academically challenging environment. We believe that it's not enough to just survive in this environment, rather that every student deserves the ability to thrive in it. That's why we offer a variety of class structures.

While some NEAT classes are tracked by ability, others are heterogeneous, for several reasons. One is that when students with different learning styles learn together, both learn better. Another is that research suggests that a combination of learning in heterogeneous groups and differentiated instruction is a valuable educational model.

That's why our 9th and 10th graders study together in some subjects, while our 11th and 12th graders study together in others.

It's also why we offer honors-level study, and also added support and accommodations.
